Department of civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering at Sagar Institute of Research & Technology (SIRT) is a relatively new department, and is being developed, both in terms of faculty and infrastructure. The department has people of eminence from academia as well as industry. Civil Engineering is the study of land, transportation, water, energy, and sanitation systems, within a complex social, political, economic, and environmental context. It is about community service, development, and improvement. The Department of Civil Engineering offers undergraduate course with emphasis on fundamental theory and practice in Civil Engineering keeping in view the current and continuously changing scenarios in this discipline. The Department has established state-of-art laboratories which can provide opportunities for the students at all levels to get acquainted with the latest developments in various avenues of Civil Engineering. In addition to Teaching and Instruction, the faculty is also engaged in active research with an aim to generate innovative concepts and ideas or apply the existing technologies to new applications.

Departmental Library

The Department library has a strong collection of text books with over hundreds of titles on a variety of topics. Library also possesses journals, magazines, project and seminar reports, lab manuals and question banks and CDs of e-journals and e-books.
The collection is strong in all aspects with special strengths in Programming basics, Software development, Computer Architecture and Organization, Operating systems, Networking and Data base Administrations and on Internet technologies.

Conference Hall

The Conference Room provides facilities and services for academic meetings, seminars, events as well as corporate recruitment procedures. The state of the art Conference Room provides an ambiance to concentrate solely on our task.

It includes:-
