Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering were established in 2003 & is an integral part of Sagar Institute of Research & Technology, Bhopal. The department offers the 4 year undergraduate degree program in Electrical & Electronics engineering & is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Viswavidyalaya Bhopal. The annual intake of department is 60 students.

The department has been constantly modernizing the infrastructure and laboratory facilities. The department is endowed with well equipped laboratories as required by curriculum of RGPV. The departmental library has enriched collection of reference books on various subjects written by eminent writers.

• PEO-1: To develop understanding of the fundamental scientific principles & theories which is prerequisite for the solution of complex problems encountered in the modern engineering practice
• PEO-2: To provide students with wide spectrum of knowledge necessary for productive career in the public or private sectors or for pursuing post graduation and also able to support service to society and economic development of the nation
• PEO-3: To inculcate in students effective communication skills, managerial skills, teamwork skills, professional & ethical attitude for the interdisciplinary work environment and are aware of the life long learning
• PEO-4: To impart technical knowledge so that they can identify, understand, analyze & design electrical components & systems for real life problems
• PEO-5: To develop necessary laboratory skills that will enable them to practice acquired knowledge & safety measures at work place in industrial environment

Programme Outcome (POs):
Students are able to:
1. Apply knowledge of mathematics, basic sciences & electrical engineering concepts for solution of engineering problems relating to electrical & electronics engineering
2. Apply knowledge of electrical & electronics engineering specialties and fundamentals of sciences to analyze & synthesize the engineering problems
3. Understand operations & various tests performed on electrical machines and to apply this knowledge for industrial applications with concern to public health & environment
4. Conduct investigations using simulation to analyze and interpret data to give solutions for electrical engineering problems
5. Employ engineering equipment & software to analyze the complex engineering problems and to predict engineering activities with understanding to its limitations
6. Evaluate the impact of societal, health, safety and cultural issues as an electrical engineering professional
7. Understand the impact of the professional electrical and electronics engineering solutions on environment and demonstrate the knowledge for sustainable development
