The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering became a part of this esteemed organization in the year 2003 with the annual intake of 60 students which has now increased to 180 students. It is almost a decade that the Department is contributing and excelling in the field of academics and Research. The Department is headed by Professors and Lecturers who are experts in their own disciplines and they aim at educating and training students with sound knowledge and awareness in the latest trends in electronics and communication stream. Keeping in line with fast changing technology, the department has a nicely designed and well equipped fleet of laboratories to incorporate all advancements in existing and emerging technologies.

The Department aims to nurture the inclination of the students towards research and development, besides giving them the necessary and sufficient backing of theoretical knowledge that they need. The Department also runs M.Tech programs in:
• Electronics & Communication
• Microelectronics and VLSI Design
The Department has successfully completed a large number of sponsored research projects funded by MPCST, DST & AICTE. Besides, this Department provides R&D and consultancy services to various industries.


Programme Educational Objectives


PEO-1: Student will be able to attain a solid foundation in Electronics and Communication Engineering fundamentals with an attitude to pursue continuing education.
PEO-2: Student will be able to develop necessary laboratory skills that will enable them to enhance Research and continue professional development in Electronics, communication and IT industries. PEO-3: To inculcate in students effective communication skills, managerial skills, teamwork skills and multidisciplinary approach and an ability to relate engineering issues to broader social context.
PEO-4: Student will be able to build strong fundamental knowledge for competitive examination, pursuing post-graduation and to improve the employability of student in the public or private sectors.


Programme Outcomes


Students are able to:
PO1. Apply knowledge of mathematics, basic sciences & engineering concepts to identify, formulate and solve electronics engineering problems.
PO2. Graduates will have the ability to define the state of the art problems and technical plan to provide solutions by dividing them into small steps and conducting experiments, interpreting and analyzing the data at each level.
PO3. Design solutions for electronics engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specific needs with appropriate considerations for public health safety and environmental considerations.
PO4. Graduates will apply design on tools to develop simulated model or hardware prototype, will conduct experiments or tests on it for various input conditions i.e. utilize tools to investigate, analyze, design, simulate and/or fabricate/commission complete systems)
PO5. Select and apply current technique, resources and modern engineering tools including prediction and modeling to electronics and communication engineering activities and their limitations.
PO6. Apply reasoning and the contextual knowledge to assess social, health, safety and cultural issues.
PO7. Understand the impact of professional electronics and communication engineering solutions in societal, environmental context and demonstrate the knowledge of sustainable development.
PO8. Understand ethical principle and commitment to professional ethics and responsibilities norms of the electronics engineering practice.
PO9. An ability to function effectively individually and on teams, including diverse and multidisciplinary, to accomplish a common goal.
PO10. Express effectively on engineering activities in the engineering community and society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective course, make effective presentations and give and receive clear instructions.
