Department of Computer Applications

The Department of Computer Applications was established in academic year 2008 – 2009 with the primary objective of providing world class education in the field of Computer Applications, is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki University (RGPV) Bhopal.

Many of the students were placed in reputed organizations like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Satyam, Cognizent, HCL, HP in challenging positions.

Students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities and competitions held by other universities and colleges within the state and out-side the state. The students have won laurels to the college winning prizes in competitions. The department strives hard to impart quality education and to keep the students on the competitive edge of the present-day technology.

SIRT has well equipped computer laboratories which provide customized and focused software training to students, with wide network of LAN facility.
• There are about 300 computer systems with colour monitors.
• Licensed multi user versions of required software’s along with 3 MBPS leased line internet facilities.

Class Room

There is an adequate number of classrooms in the department. Classrooms are accomplished with smart classes, LCD Projectors, OHP and other complimentary teaching aids.

Departmental Library

The library plays a key role in the academic activities of the Institute. It is conveniently located in a spacious accommodation with computer aided reading room facility for providing support to large number of students. The library has a large collection of books, journals and periodicals. Stock of books is regularly updated with the latest editions. The Institute has an e-library that enables students to access resource on line.

Conference Hall

The Conference Room provides facilities and services for academic meetings, seminars, events as well as corporate recruitment procedures. The state of the art Conference Room provides an ambiance to concentrate solely on our task.

It includes:-
• Modern designs & interiors.
• HD – Projection system.
• Air Conditioners.
• Electrical & LAN connections for laptops.
• Wi-Fi connectivity.
• Conference table that seats 40.
• 30 additional seats at the perimeter of the room.
